Our studio family keeps changing (and growing)

There's been quite a few changes in our studio family over the past year.

In September, Lindsay, our Wedding Specialist received a promotion at her other job (she worked half time for us, and half time for Bath and Body Works). She had 24 hours notice that she had been promoted to manager, and had to start working 40 hours a week at 8:00 am the next morning.

Needless to say, that left us suddenly without anyone to handle the wedding workload, so guess who took that on (yours truly).

We hired Kelsey in October, ultimately to train her to be our new Studio Director (see why in the next paragraph), and manage all the activities in the studio after I push the button. But alas, in early January, her husband got a new job, and she unexpectedly had to leave us.

Starting January 2, Valerie, our Studio Director, changed her role to retoucher and album designer, and started working half time from home - in anticipation of the birth of her baby in February.

Elsa Jean Hibler was born on March 8, and life changed forever for her proud parents.

But that left us without anyone in the office for about a month.

Lynette joined us in mid-February, and had to hit the ground running. Not only did we have to train her (about a 3 month process), but she had to immediately help me start tackling all the backlog of work that had piled up during all this change in people.

And then, as is par for the course, Lynette found out that she's pregnant, and will have a little boy in October. So more changes are going to take place.

We'll keep you up to date with future posts.
